Tavira, Portugal – 23 May 2013
Only just managed to complete this before a torrential downpour.
Figure studies – May/June 2013
Two hour studies at local life drawing class. I try to vary the media used each week. Here it is soft pastel,
watercolour, oils and oil pastel, watercolour and oils.
I was recently commissioned to create a front cover watercolour illustration and pencil portraits of the authors for the LEIA Annual Review.
Speaking of which…
Whilst throwing old work away pending a studio move I came across this watercolour which was part of a
presentation for the merchandise design when Ben Hur was produced at the O2 about 3 years ago. It was not used!
It has changed considerably in concept since I started it. It is now simpler with a Fibonacci grid overlaid
on the main figure.
